Georgia Tech didn’t fare too well in this year’s match-up against UGA: we dropped yet another (rather heartbreaking) loss 42-34. Like most of the last 9 of 10, it was winnable, even in the final seconds. Seems like we did everything we could to hand the game back to them dawgs.
But I don’t want to dwell on that. Rather, I have a message for all the UGA fans and students out there:
Regardless of what you might believe, whenever you call us nerds you’re paying us a compliment.
You may get a few laughs about it, enjoy a couple jokes with your fellow UGA friends about it, but if you’re actually looking to insult us, you’re quite literally barking up the wrong tree. I’m a nerd, a geek (don’t really care which one), am damn proud of it, and wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t know how you folks have it in your heads that being a nerd is something to be avoided, but being a nerd is the best thing ever. My life’s work revolves around the coolest stuff in the world that puts your 9-5 jobs to shame.
So whenever GT’s recruiting efforts catch up with PJ’s coaching talents, I hope you’ll enjoy the triumph of the nerds over your paltry, one-dimensional football program.
