Getting back on the bandwagon

Yeah, I’ve been bad about updating again.

Substitute “awful” for “legendary.”

Every time I’ve sat down to write a post on some tiny little thought I have, it becomes a long, rambling, philosophical soapbox fest that’s utterly uninteresting toΒ anyone, including me. So I end up deleting the post.

Part of the problem has been my current summer: it’s been head-down, hurry-up-get-this-research-done almost the whole time. And since I really shouldn’t talk about the work I’m doing before it’s published, when I’ve INEXORABLY run into problems, it becomes a protracted period of uninspiring, unblog-able tripe.

Ok not tripe, because it is still interesting, albeit extremely frustrating. I’m also battling some administrative snafoos, made more annoying by how I’m not convinced they were entirely unavoidable. Plus marathon training is in full swing, and Ragnar logistics planning is reaching a critical point.

All in all, pretty boring. Especially compared to the following montage:

I’ll leave it at that for now. Hopefully I’ll have something more interesting and more concrete in the coming days. Like the fact that THE DANIMAL is visiting this weekend!
