Today was pretty much a sprint from when I arrived in the morning (~8am) until our final submission to the committee (minutes before 6pm). But as luck and good fortune would have it, we made our deadline and I gladly (and nervously) submitted the final proposal document to the members of my thesis committee.
Now begins the official countdown until next Tuesday morning when I deliver my 45-minute proposal pitch to the committee in person. Between now and then is still going to be busy: I need to build the slide deck and practice the talk, not to mention shoving a paper out the door that we listed in the proposal as “under review”.
Still very busy. But we’re in the home stretch.
It went from sunny to torrential monsoon in the space of a couple hours. This seems to be par for the course this year.
Kitty loves my shoes, for some reason.
